"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."

People have the ability to make decisions for themselves. If one wishes to wear a mask, obtain a vaccine, take prophylactic medications, exercise etc., one has the right to do so. Stop taking away personal responsibility.

I'm against the mask mandate & want you to end the state of emergency. The mandate is harmful to Erie including children, businesses, & hearing impaired. It causes developmental delays in children. In CO, only 29 people ages 0-24 have died from COVID-19. 19 had other contributing factors. Erie businesses suffer by losing patrons. Businesses can make their own calls on masks. It is not your job to bully them into doing this. Many will do their business elsewhere & tax money will be lost.

It is time to end the disaster emergency, vote down a mask mandate, and end the overreach of the Mayor, BOT, and Town Admin.
Mask mandates have not been proven to be effective and have a list of negative consequences far outweigh any potential benefits, especially on children since their risk of dying from COVID is very low and the risk of developmental and mental health issues are high. We have a vaccine for those that wish to be protect from the worst outcomes.
