I am opposed to oil and gas development in Erie and horrified by the town's continued support of it. Furthermore, there is absolutely nothing in the written description of this agenda item to even indicate it's related to oil and gas. Placing the acceptance of the Hammer annexation petition on the meeting's consent agenda, where it will not be publicly discussed, provides the board of trustees with a convenient cloak of anonymity and ensures the community at large will not be fully informed.
